Research
Our research focus is application of atomic-scale models and micro-scale friction measurements to understand fundamental mechanisms underlying tribological phenomena. Current areas of active research include:
- Atomic-scale friction
- Thin film lubrication
- Solid lubrication and coatings
- Materials for extreme environments
- Cellulose nanocrystals
- Scanning probe wear
- Micro-tribometry
